Excellent location for sightseeing and exploring Carmel-by-the-Sea. Just 1 mile away from a beautiful white sandy beach. Close proximity to various restaurants and bars makes it convenient. A great choice when staying in Carmel-by-the-Sea.

I liked the stay. Every detail of this wonderful little property was nice. Amazingly attentive and caring staff did a great job. I had the a deluxe room which was pet-friendly and brand-new with nice decor. The breakfast had plenty of options and included fresh bread and muffins.
Some of the staff were quite loud.

The room was very nice. The fireplace was a nice touch. The refrigerator was good for leftovers and microwave had the popcorn. Bed very comfortable.
Parking on the premises was a surprise. It was nonexistent until another car left. The staff said we could park on the street from 6 pm until 8:15 am, then they ticket. On vacation I like to relax and did not relish the idea of getting up so early to move my car. Serving apple cider instead of wine for an evening social hour was different. We had never used a Keurig coffeemaker so were perplexed on how it operates. The directions were not explicit. Not many channels on the tv. As there were a great deal of older people staying here, they needed a elevator or someone to help with the baggage. Rooms not soundproof, could hear people next door and outside.

The deluxe room I stayed in had a comfortable bed and fireplace. The staff was incredibly attentive and caring, addressing my every need. The location was absolutely perfect - a circa-1771 Church was just a short stroll away. The inn is situated in a nice area close to restaurants, stores, Ocean Avenue, and many good restaurants on the main shopping street.

Heterosexual friendly. My wife and I were looking to get away from our bickering grown children. As I researched, I came across this hotel. All others were far more expensive. When we looked at the photos of the place, we felt that it would be alright for what we were paying. When we arrived, the exterior looked great. The parking lot including the garage, was coble stone. The rooms have a charming cozy feeling, but the rooms are huge. The fact that the hotel is in the center of town is a major draw. We walked everywhere. We will definately be back. We already decided, Carmel is going to be our special get away spot. We will not be taking the kids. They can go to Monterey with us, but not Carmel.
